Safeguarding

The Bible makes it clear that all people, irrespective of age, gender, ability or background are created by God in his image and equally loved.  However, it also shows that God has a particular concern for those in society who are at risk.

 

We therefore welcome into our church family children and others who may be vulnerable.

Safeguarding is the responsibility of the whole church.  However, we also have a designated team, all of whom have completed Excellence in Safeguarding training to level 3.  They are:

• Donna Gerrard (Designated Person for Safeguarding)

• Martin Veasey (Assistant Designated Person for Safeguarding)

• Eileen Swain (Safeguarding Trustee)

All those who work with children in the church are regularly DBS checked.  The DBS verifier is Moira Warren.
