Sundays at Newington

Coming together on Sundays to worship God and meet with him is at the heart of our church life.

If you are a visitor, you will be warmly welcomed but we won't ask you to stand up or do anything embarrassing!  If you just want to sit quietly and watch what's going on, that's fine.  There's no special dress code (as long as it's decent!).

Every service is different, but it will always include singing, prayer, and a talk based on the bible, either from the minister or a visiting speaker. At the end we serve tea, coffee and biscuits.

On the first Sunday of each month we have a family-friendly all-age service, which is shorter and more interactive.  Afterwards we stay for a bring and share lunch.

Twice a month we celebrate communion.  All Christians, whatever their church background, are warmly invited to share in that.
